BUMI means earth in Indonesian, the country where tempeh originated. The name is our ode to all the beauty that grows from the soil.

Our search for healthy clean-label alternatives led us to traditional plant-based products: tempeh, tofu & seitan. We learned that these ancient recipes are super nutritious and that you can prepare them in countless delicious ways. But because of their stuffy image, we had never noticed them. A shame!
